DEMOCRAT MATH

UNofficially Winslow has received a campaign mailer for the Winslow democrat team.
Which includes DePalma, Wright, Lawrence, & Flamini. UNofficially Winslow has explored some of the facts in this campaign mailer.

  • “…Streamline the Township budget…”

FACT: 2004 Winslow Township budget was $22,122,117.00.
FACT: 2005 Winslow Township budget is $24,751,800.00.
FACT: For an increase of: $2,629,683.00

Democrat math?

  • “Bringing public water to homes affected by Metec and Cedar Brook ground water contamination.”

FACT: The Metec matter has been an on going issue for 11 years and there is still no public water flowing to resolve this matter.

  • “Improved road safety throughout the Township, including intersections at Malaga and New Brooklyn Road, Route 73 and Fleming Pike, and Williamstown and Sicklerville Road.”

FACT: Each one of these road projects the democrats are taking credit for was
completed by Camden County. Notice they are all County roads!

  • “Brought public sewers to Albion and public water to West Atco...”

FACT: This was a bi-partisan unanimous decision.

  • “Added pedestrian crosswalks…”

FACT: This was a bi-partisan unanimous decision.

  • “Successfully fought to bring A.C. Moore corporate headquarters and distribution center to Winslow Township along with 450 new jobs.”

FACT: A.C. Moore consolidated three other distribution centers into this new facility. Employees who transferred from these other locations filled almost all of the 450 job positions. In general A.C. Moore was a very much welcome and
positive addition to Winslow Township. Hats off to Mr. Ed Austin,
a Winslow resident, who came forward with a newspaper clipping that,
Washington Township rejected the proposal from A.C. Moore.

  • “Provided sidewalks in Elmtowne, Cooper Folly Road, Chews Landing Road..."

FACT: Two of the three sidewalk projects noted were paid for with State of New
Jersey grants.

  • Constructing new soccer fields with stadium lights at Peter Volpa Park, new fields and softball lights at Calabrese Park, and football stadium lights…”

FACT: No football lights, no Soccer fields started, and the lights at Calabrese
Park are at no cost to the Township. How dare the democrats take credit for
these lights when they were won by the Little League organization through a
safety program.

Are there any true facts about the Winslow democrats? Sure there are, but they are not on this campaign mailer. Such as selling Township owned open space land to developers to build more homes. Developers who contributed to their previous campaigns. Now Wright wants a new tax in Winslow so the democrats can buy more land. For what? So they can sell it to their supporters again at below market values?

RESIDENT ASKS WHY WINSLOW TOWNSHIP IS SELLING LAND.

This resident asked the Township Committee why Winslow Township is selling land. He also wants to know who the Township is selling the land to.

Resident Nick LoSasso had previously addressed the Township Committee on the same subject. UNofficially Winslow researched some of Mr. LoSasso's remarks. Below are copies of open public records that support Nick LoSasso's remarks 100%.

Committeeman Barry Wright voted along party lines to sell Township owned land and open space. Now, one year later, Wright has proposed a new special tax for Winslow Township to help preserve open space. One might also note Camden County already imposes an open space tax on Winslow residents. Winslow Township has benefited in the past from the Camden County Open Space program and tax. Why must Winslow residents pay twice?

Click here to review a copy of the Township committee minutes when the vote was taken authorizing the public land sale. With the motion being made by Holcomb and seconded by
Wright. The minutes also reflect a statement by Mayor Metzner, who did not agree with the sale of Township land, indicating we need open space. Now Wright wants a tax to preserve land!

Click here to review a copy of the successful bidders of the public land and open space sale that Wright voted in favor of prior to asking for this new open space tax. Notice that a family member of Wright's business partner purchased property during this public land sale.

Perhaps part of the problem is the wrong leadership is representing us. Now is the time for the residents to consider changes. Why didn't Flamini pay attention to the residents of ward four when the concept of 400 plus new homes first surfaced. There was a meeting in ward four about the proposed development. Why didn't Flamini attend?

Click anywhere on the photograph to enlarge.

A resident Frank Nicolosi did attend the meeting.
The audio link below is of RESIDENT Frank Nicolosi participating in the AST development informal meeting with the residents of ward 4. There is no audio available of Flamini's participation, for Flamini did not attend the meeting to represent the residents of ward four. Just like he didn't bother to show up to support the residents at the Zoning Board hearing on the same subject.

THE BOTTOM LINE

UNofficially Winslow supports:

Nick LoSasso for LoSasso is opposed to selling land to developers, unlike his opponent Barry Wright who voted in favor of selling Township owned land. (See meeting minutes above for proof.)

Frank Nicolosi is running for Flamini's Committee seat. UNofficially Winslow supports Frank Nicolosi because he supports the residents! Nicolosi obviously cares about Ward 4 (Sicklerville area) He spoke up at a meeting, when Flamini didn't even show up.
